Foil mats are the quickest and most inexpensive method of fitting underfloor heating, compatible with most ‘floating’ or unfixed floors such as carpets, vinyl, wood and laminate. The handy pre-spaced cables are easily rolled out across floors, allowing you to start using your underfloor heating as quickly as possible, and are best employed in regular shaped rooms. These mats have an added benefit as the foil allows the heat to distribute evenly across its surface, delivering a consistent source of warmth. Compared to other retro-fitted underfloor systems, foil mats are incredibly thin and raise floor height minimally.
