Important Delivery Changes
As of the 1st January 2021, the UK will have officially left the EU single market and customs union, which means there will be a slight change to our delivery process.
For all deliveries to the Republic of Ireland, it will be the responsibility of the customer to pay for any duty charges at customs. This will be 2.7% of the total value of your order including delivery charges. Customers may also be required to pay for VAT on top of their order, which is 23% of the order value.
All customers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will need to provide us with their GB EORI number before we can organise delivery.
All other aspects of the delivery process will remain the same.
At Heatingpoint we offer free next working day delivery on almost all of our products when delivered to mainland UK addresses. See below for full details of exclusions.
To receive your heating appliance by the next working day, you must place your order before 12pm on the previous working day. Weekends and public holidays are not classed as working days. Orders placed on a Friday before 12pm should arrive on the following Monday. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday should arrive on the following Tuesday.
Orders contaning Electrorad or Cürv products must be placed before 11am to qualify for next working day delivery.
Saturday delivery is available on request and carries a surcharge of £20 per item. Unfortunately, we do not offer Sunday delivery. To qualify for next day delivery on a Saturday, you must place your order before 12pm on the Friday. If a Saturday delivery is possible, it will appear as an option at the checkout. Small accessories, such as radiator feet, will be delivered at no extra cost when ordered with a larger item.
Saturday delivery is only available on selected parcels and is not an option offered for pallet deliveries or Highlands & Islands addresses. See below for full details of exclusions.
Whilst we do everything we can to get your heaters delivered next day we cannot guarantee that our couriers will deliver on the next day. The delivery date is an estimate only which can be affected by courier service delays, product availability, weather and delivery location. If you are having your heater professionally installed we highly recommend waiting until you have received the appliance before arranging a fitting date with your installer. We cannot be held responsible for contractor’s costs if delivery is delayed. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
Mainland Order Exclusions
Some of our electric heaters and accessories still qualify for free delivery but will take longer to arrive. As such, they are not included within our next working day delivery service. Depending on the product, we may also need to call you to arrange a specific delivery date once your order has been placed. Please see individual product pages for more details.
Remote postcodes classified by our carrier’s Zone 1 postal exclusions will require no additional charge, but parcels may take an extra day to arrive. This includes some Aberdeen, Dundee, Falkirk, Inverness and Tweed postcodes.
Saturday delivery is not available for Electrorad, Elnur, and Stiebel Eltron products. Saturday delivery is also unavailable for selected stove accessories, as well as selected Burda, Herschel, Haverland and Cointra products. Saturday delivery will not be offered as an option for any excluded products – please contact our sales team on 0330 880 7008 for more information.
Some heavier items must be delivered by pallet because of their weight. Pallet deliveries are charged at £39.99 and will be delivered next working day. This charge covers every item on the order, irrespective of how many items are purchased. Exceptions to this rule are Elnur storage heaters, which incur no carry charges but require 48 hours for delivery; and Stiebel Eltron storage heaters, which take 5 – 10 working days for delivery and incur the standard £39.99 pallet carry charge.
For convenience, large orders of parcel items are sometimes delivered together on a pallet. In this case, pallet charges will not apply.
If you purchase a mixture of parcelled items and palleted items, you will be charged the cost of the palleted item only. Items may still arrive separately if they are being dispatched from different locations, but no extra charges will apply. Large orders of parcelled items may arrive on a pallet: however, a pallet delivery charge will not apply.
Highlands & Islands Exclusions
Delivery conditions for Highlands and Islands addresses will differ depending on whether your order is a parcel or pallet. Some addresses which are accessible for parcel deliveries may not be accessible for pallet deliveries due to their increased size and weight. You can use our postcode chart to check whether your location qualifies as a Highlands & Islands address for parcel or pallet deliveries. Further conditions may apply if your items are dispatched from different locations, however we will contact you if this is the case.
Postcodes that fall under Parcelforce’s Zone 2 and Zone 3 locations will take 3 – 7 working days to arrive and carry a charge of £12 per item. If you’re unsure whether your location qualifies as a Highlands & Islands address for parcel deliveries, you can use our postcode chart. You will not be charged postage for any small accessories ordered with larger items. Small accessories in this context are usually limited to radiator feet, remote controls and thermostats although some other items may be included.
Pallet delivery services will not be available for remote postcodes that fall outside the span of our courier’s standard service area. If you’re unsure whether your location qualifies as a Highlands & Islands address for pallet deliveries, you can use our postcode chart. Charges and delivery times for remote locations vary, so please call our sales team on 0330 880 7008 to arrange a convenient date.
For orders that include a mix of parcel and pallet delivery items, please be aware that items may arrive separately if they are dispatched from different locations. Larger orders of parcels may arrive on a pallet but will still carry the £12 parcel charge per item as listed above. Pallet charges and times vary depending on location, so please call us to arrange a suitable date for delivery.
Order Tracking & Delivery Process
When you place your order, you will immediately receive order confirmation by email. If you provide us with a mobile phone number, you will receive text updates from our couriers regarding your order.
Please note that for security reasons all deliveries must be signed for. Make sure that you or a trusted neighbour will be on hand to sign for the delivery. If there is anything we need to know before delivery is attempted – for instance if access to your property is difficult for large vehicles – please contact our customer service team. Please be aware that a failed delivery may incur a redelivery charge, particularly in the case of pallets.
In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged item please let us know within 48 hours so we can organise a replacement.
Our parcel delivery service is a standard doorstep delivery service; our couriers will not be able to carry deliveries into your property or upstairs. You will need to be on hand to collect and sign for your delivery from the entrance of the building. Please be aware of this when choosing a delivery date.
Exceptionally heavy items, fragile items and orders of four or more heaters will be delivered on a pallet. All pallets are delivered at the side of the road; unfortunately, the courier drivers are not insured to help you carry the items into your home. We strongly recommend having a second person on hand to help you carry your items.
Items are usually delivered between the following times:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
