The Ecostrad Thermostrip infrared heater can be wall or ceiling mounted using the fixtures and fittings provided. Please ensure that the heater is mounted as per the manufacturer’s guidelines: no lower than 2.1m from the floor and at least 50cm away from any adjacent walls. If wall mounted, the Thermostrip should always be horizontally level with its control panel aligned to the left. The front face of the Thermostrip reaches high temperatures and in all instances it should never be installed where there is risk of physical contact with the heater. Newer models of the Ecostrad Thermostrip have larger brackets, which increases the mounting distance from 160mm to 200mm.
Though infrared radiant heat is not affected by the movement of air, the sensation of far infrared can be offset by persistent gusts and breezes that may come in from open windows, doors or roller shutters. This is because wind-chill can cool your body quicker than the radiant heat will be able to replenish, so please bear these facts in mind when choosing an installation location for your heater.In an indoor location, the Thermostrip can heat areas up to 10m² although this can be reduced to a minimum of 4.5m² if installed outside. For exposed outdoor locations or areas that are prone to gusts and breezes, a quartz infrared heater may be a better option.
This product has an IP65 rating which means it is resistant to low pressure jets of water and is dust-tight. This IP rating provides adequate protection from the elements but please be aware that the Thermostrip’s gentle heat is not effective in exposed locations.

The Thermostrip is an elegant space heating solution that emits zero right and comfortable infrared radiant heat. Its high output and discreet matt black finish make it the perfect solution for large lofty interiors. This version of the Thermostrip does not come with a remote control as it is designed to be paired with the thermostatic control system of your choice.
The Ecostrad Thermostrip can be controlled with an on/off switch on the side of the heater, but when installed with a programmable thermostat, you can gain precision control over your heating. Producing a mellow, gentle warmth that’s great for round-the-clock use, Thermostrip infrared heaters are great for spaces that are occupied frequently and for long periods of time. If you so choose, you can also install the Thermostrip in a sheltered outdoor location, as these heaters come with an IP65 protection rating making them suitable for installation outside.
The 1.8kW Thermostrip heats a maximum area of 10m² indoors and a maximum of 6.5m² in a sheltered exterior location in ideal conditions. Please note that these areas will be reduced in areas with high air movement.
The brackets provided with the Thermostrip allow it to be wall or ceiling mounted to suit any space – a versatile choice for any hard-to-heat interior, whether it’s a village hall, church or meeting venue. Always ensure that the Thermostrip is installed out of arms’ reach in all instances.
