Infrared Heaters Installation

InstallationInfrared heaters are incredibly versatile in terms of installation and can be freestanding, wall or ceiling mounted and even hung from chains. Check individual product pages to see what types of installation are suitable for your choice of heater.

Wall mounting infrared panels is so straightforward that they can be DIY fitted and the process can be completed in a matter of minutes. We provide a handy template to help you line up where you will need to drill the holes for your mounting brackets, then it's simply a case of screwing the mounts to the wall and plugging your infrared panel into the nearest 13 amp socket.

In cases where you want a fitting with no loose wires or for your heater to be ceiling mounted, a professional NICEIC electrician will be able to do this for you. For freestanding fitting, separate feet must be purchased but are easy to clip onto the base of infrared panels and allow easy portability. It's also highly recommended that you purchase a thermostat with your infrared heater as this will give you greater control over your heating and energy usage.

Many infrared heaters can be used in bathrooms and are a great space-saving alternative if you have limited room. Bathroom installation will always require the services of a professional electrician as any infrared heaters will need to be hard-wired into the mains for safety reasons. Before purchasing any product, you should always check the product's IP rating, as well as the manufacturer's guidelines regarding bathroom installation to ensure it will be suitable for its intended purpose.
