Before you purchase, always check that the product will have the adequate IP rating you need for outdoor use, as some are only suitable for covered areas. Some portable models can be used outdoors and have simple plug-in-and-go functionality that is appropriate for occasional use, but similarly they must also be in covered areas with no exposure to the elements.
