Manuals & Installation
Haverland Smartwave Electric Radiators are easy to install with very basic DIY knowledge. They simply screw to the wall and plug into a normal 13amp socket. Each radiator is supplied with wall plugs, screws, and a template to show you where to put the screws. All you need to do is drill four holes, mount the radiator on the bracket supplied and plug into the nearest socket. It really is that simple.
We do not recommend electric radiators or panel heaters for bathroom installation. This is because there is the temptation to hang towels over the appliance to dry, which can obstruct ventilation on the heater and cause a hazard.
Care must always be taken when connecting multiple radiators or heaters to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. If you are unsure, contact a qualified electrician for advice. For a professional installation, cables can be shortened and the heater connected to the mains supply by a fused spur. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Never waste energy heating an empty house again with our self-learning Haverland SmartWave Electric Radiators.
Setting a new bar for smart heating technology, self-learning electric radiators use an intelligent sensor to learn your weekly routine and adapt a personalised heating programme to suit. With no effort from you, SmartWave radiators keep your house warm when and where you need it, fine-tuning your heating so that neither money nor energy is wasted maintaining comfort temperatures.
SmartWave radiators are also fully controllable via your smartphone, tablet or laptop; simply purchase with a Haverland SmartBox to control any of your radiators from anywhere in the world.
Self-Learning Technology
Haverland SmartWave Electric Radiators come equipped with infrared sensors which monitor activity in the room where the radiators are placed. The radiators then use this information to create personalised heating schedules. Each room in your house will have a different heating schedule, based on the time you spend in each room.
When you first use your radiators they will simply heat whenever they sense movement. Once the second week begins, your SmartWaves will heat your home in accordance with the routine recorded the previous week. The radiators will heat up each room 30 minutes in advance of the time they expect you to enter the room, ensuring your home will always feel warm and comfortable when you return from work or wake up in the morning. Whilst you use your SmartWave radiators in learning mode they will continue to monitor your movements and will generate a new heating programme each week based upon your activity in the previous week.
Of course, few people in reality stick to the same routine every day of every week. Whether we’re working from home for a change, staying out late to visit a friend, or taking a day’s holiday with the kids, there’s plenty of reasons your schedule may change – so it’s vital that any smart home heating system is responsive enough to adapt to change. SmartWave radiators offer this in spades: intelligent, adaptable and fully automated, SmartWave radiators have plenty of tricks up their sleeves to ensure you stay warm whilst making maximum energy savings. If you are late home, the SmartWave will switch your heating to Economy mode 30 minutes after your expected time of arrival. If you are still absent after a period of hours, the radiators will return to anti-freeze mode. Likewise, if you are home earlier than expected, the SmartWave sensor will alert the radiator of your return and activate the heating ahead of schedule. And if you know you’re going to make a major deviation from your routine – perhaps you’re working abroad, or taking a holiday at home – you can switch the radiators to sensor mode, where they’ll only activate when they can sense your presence.
Wifi Controllable Radiators
Highly intelligent automated heating makes saving energy easy – but sometimes you want that extra degree of control to heat your home just the way you like it. That’s why SmartWave radiators are also Wifi compatible. Simply add a Haverland SmartBox to your shopping basket when you purchase your radiators and you can connect all your radiators to the internet using your home connection. All you have to do is plug the SmartBox into your router and download the Haverland heating app; within minutes, precision control over all your SmartWave radiators will be at your fingertips.
You can use the Haverland heating app to control your radiators using a smartphone, tablet or laptop anywhere in the world. Whether you’re at work, on the bus, or even on the other side of the world, all you need is a Wifi connection to make changes to your heating. You can switch your radiators on or off, check the temperature in any room, make changes to the radiator’s learned programmes, or programme your radiators to run to a new schedule in manual mode. The intuitive app makes programming a quick and easy job – much less complicated than programming radiators which use surface-mounted control panels.
Purchasing the SmartBox also provides you with the choice of controlling your SmartWave electric radiators using Amazon Alexa: a revolutionary voice control command system for hands-free management. With a few simple command phrases, Alexa can adjust the heating in your rooms so you’ll never have to leave your seat to control your system. Just say which radiator you’d like to modify and Alexa takes care of the rest – it’s a responsive way to manage your heating that puts you firmly in the driving seat.
The Haverland Smart Box can be used to control up to 32 radiators and the heating app comes with the option of adding additional properties – handy if you have a second home, or manage holiday lettings. If you don’t purchase a SmartBox your programming options will be more restricted, but you will still be able to switch the radiators between learning, sensor and manual mode using the lockable control panel built into the radiator body.
Energy Efficient Electric Heating
In addition to the radiator’s smart heating controls, the SmartWave boasts all the benefits of Haverland’s market-leading innovation and excellence in heating manufacture. Two new features recently added to the Haverland SmartWave are open window detection and adaptive start, both of which will activate automatically to ensure your electric radiators operate as efficiently as possible. Open window detection is a must for busy households as it switches your heater to anti-frost mode in the event of a sharp drop in temperature, preventing you from wasting heat and inflating your energy bills. As for adaptive start, this feature calculates the optimum time to start pre-heating your rooms in order to reach the right temperature, offering a gradual heat-up process that uses less power but still achieves the same reliable results.
The radiators provide a comfortable balance of radiated and convected heat using fast-acting dry thermal heating elements. Dry thermal heating elements guarantee leak-free heating, and are fully enclosed within the radiator body to warm your room without making a mark on your walls. The SmartWave uses a silent electronic TRIAC thermostat to maintain comfort, economy and anti-freeze temperatures without wasting energy. The radiator’s stylish aluminium body is very durable, sold with a lifetime guarantee, and is easy to install – a simple DIY job. All you have to do is mount the radiator to the wall and plug into the nearest socket. Alternatively, the SmartWave can be used free standing if purchased with a set of feet.
